Our Beginning
Bill Prentice founded our firm in 2008—right in the middle of the financial crisis, when nearly 2 million small businesses across the country were closing their doors. It wasn't the easiest time to start something new, but that moment made our purpose crystal clear: people needed advisors they could truly trust, free from the conflicts and proprietary pressures that had contributed to the crisis.
We built this firm to be wholly independent from day one. No parent company dictating our recommendations. No proprietary products we're pushed to sell. Just a straightforward fiduciary commitment—your best interests come first, period. We embraced this standard nearly a decade before the "fiduciary rule" became law in 2016, because it was simply the right way to serve you.
What started as a team of two managing $25 million has grown into 13 dedicated professionals across three affiliate offices, now managing over $600 million. But the growth we're most proud of? The relationships that have grown deeper over time.
